INTRODUCING
PNW Science & Wonders Center
A space-themed destination for exploration and discovery
Join Astronaut Jeff Williams in a new way of seeing our world.
The Vision
The PNW Science & Wonders Center exists to ignite a lifelong passion for discovery. The Center will create an educational, inspirational, and entertaining environment stimulating interest and providing opportunities in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, & mathematics) – investigating the ordered design in a purposeful creation.
The Center will blend the best of museum elements, science center activities and displays, and educational programs. Taking advantage of Colonel Williams’ personal experiences, the vantage point of space flight will serve to highlight the wonders of the world around us.
The Experience
The Center
Located in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, the Center blends the best of science center interactivity with the narrative depth of a world-class museum.
- Interactive STEAM Displays: Science, Tech, Engineering, Artistry, and Math.
- Spaceflight Narratives: Leveraging the wonders of astronautics as a design element.
- Architectural Storytelling: A facility designed to reflect the DNA double helix and rocket trajectories.
The Center
The PNW Science & Wonders Center will be a premier destination and regional resource for education, exploration, and discovery in STEAM topics and activities. Functional elements of the project will include family activities, educational displays and activities, museum-like exhibitions, presentations, simulations, interactive displays, virtual displays, classroom/laboratory opportunities, social events, evening programs, stargazing/astronomy, and seasonal field trips.
The WHY
Worldview Philosophy & Presuppositions
Scientific endeavor thrives in the soil of Biblical presuppositions. We don’t just study data; we study Provision.
The Lawgiver
Exploring the precisely ordered creation and the laws (F=ma, DNA, Optics) that make science possible.
The Image-Bearer
Celebrating mankind’s amazing ability to search out, develop, and utilize God’s provision.
The Cultural Mandate
Using Science, Tech, and Artistry to subdue the creation and put the glory of the Creator on display.
The WHY
Answering the “Why” really comes in two categories. The first is philosophical – why the focus on STEAM in the context of one’s worldview. The second is practical – why here & now. Both are strategic in nature.
Philosophical
Philosophy & Presuppositions
Learn about the vision and values that define our approach to the cosmos.
Practical
Time, Place, & Circumstance
Understand the strategic foundations that root our vision in the heart of the PNW.
Case For Support
The PNW Science & Wonders Center is a proposed facility in Southwest Washington dedicated to fostering curiosity and lifelong learning through STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) experiences grounded in a biblical worldview.
The center aims to inspire visitors to see science as a world to explore, rather than mere information to memorize. By highlighting the beauty and order of creation, the organization intends to cultivate the next generation of innovators.
The project is being developed in phases, with an immediate $28 million “founding effort” required to secure the site, complete architectural planning, and establish operational capacity. Looking ahead, an additional $127 million is anticipated for subsequent phases.
The campus is intended to serve as a national destination and a regional resource, ultimately featuring a signature discovery center, a planetarium, a 1,500-seat multipurpose hall, and outdoor exploration areas. The project is supported by a leadership team with diverse backgrounds in aerospace, business, law, and ministry.
The Founder
Our founder, Colonel Jeff Williams, considers the Center’s development a stewardship of the unique experiences God gave him during his record-setting 534 days in space.
Having viewed the “Work of His Hands” from the windows of the ISS, Colonel Williams invites you to see the blueprint behind the stars.
